How to Submit Artwork for Trophy and Plaque Orders in Singapore

When ordering a customised trophy or plaque in Singapore, the quality of your final product depends heavily on the artwork you provide. At Origin Gifts, we offer professtional UV printing and sandblast engraving services done locally, and clear artwork guidelines help ensure a desired finished product.

Whether you're purchasing a corporate trophy, customised award, or recognition plaque, following these artwork requirements will speed up your order and improve the final result.

Sandblasting Engraving: Classic & Precise

Sandblasting is a time-honoured technique used to engrave names, logos, and designs onto hard materials permanently. This method produces a clean, frosted finish and is commonly used for:

• Crystal trophies

• Glass plaques

• Optical glass awards

• Liuli crystal pieces

After sandblast engraving, we may add colour fill to enhance the contrast and visibility of the design, depending on your preferences.

Logo Artwork Requirements for Sandblasting:

• Preferred: Vector logos in AI, PDF, EPS, or SVG formats

• Alternative: Black & white logos in JPG, PNG, or TIFF (minimum 300 dpi or at least 2MB in size)

Providing the right file type ensures your logo or message is engraved with high precision and clarity.

Matching Your Corporate Colours with Pantone

For sandblast engraving with colour fill in trophy plaques, accurate colour reproduction is important. If your company uses specific branding colours, please provide the Pantone colour codes. We will match as closely as possible with our available paints suited for fill in. These paints are designed for long lasting appearance and suited for engraving fill in. Colour fill in up to 90% accuracy of intended pantone colour. Different colours require a spacing divider in between.

📌 If Pantone codes are not provided, we will match colours based on your submitted image. However, fill in colour may differ due to screen variations, and we cannot guarantee an exact match without a Pantone reference.

UV Colour Printing: Vibrant and Full-Colour

UV printing is ideal for full-colour logos and designs on trophies and plaques. It's best suited for glass, crystal, acrylic awards, metal plates, and colour-rich designs. 

To get the most accurate colour results, please provide your logo in a vector format, and include your cmyk colour code as colour consistency is important.

Recommended Artwork Logo File Formats (All Orders)

For both UV print and sandblasting, we recommend the following vector formats:

• AI (Adobe Illustrator)

• EPS

• PDF (vector-based)

• SVG

• CDR (CorelDraw)

These file types allow us to scale your artwork without any loss in quality—ensuring crisp edges and clean engraving.

📌 If your only logo file is in JPG or PNG format, please ensure it’s high-resolution (300 dpi or larger than 2MB). We can help convert it to vector format if needed, for a small artwork fee.

 Fonts & Text Guidelines

If your design includes specific fonts, please provide the font files in TrueType (.TTF) or font file name.

📌 If a font is missing and not available in our system, we may need to purchase it and will inform you of any costs involved.

Recipient Name Lists (for Awards & Recognition)

To prepare individual name engravings for your trophy or plaque order in Singapore, please send your name list in Excel format or text file, with:

• Correct capitalisation as you'd like it engraved / printed

• No bullet points or extra spacing

• Any additional info (e.g. Award title, job titles, year, categories, or countries) in separate columns

This ensures a smooth and error-free production process.

Artwork Setup & Confidentiality

Most layout work is done in-house at our Singapore facility, and name engraving or placement is usually included at no additional charge. If your logo or layout requires redrawing or heavy editing, an artwork fee may apply. We'll notify you before any charges are made.

All files and recipient names are handled with full confidentiality.
